Minneapolis Bike Plan

- In 2008 work began on a new Bicycle Master Plan. This plan will be a comprehensive document detailing the policies and practices around bicycling in Minneapolis. It will also include an update to the 2001 Bicycle Master Plan Map.
The plan has been devided into two parts and the first -- on bike facilities -- has been posted for review: See the Minneapolis Draft Bicycle Facility Manual.

I think it is sad that on page 1 here they talk about min clearance being being 5ft to a cub/gutter or 2 feet to a post which is based on March 2007 MnDOT Bikeway Facility Design Manual, but they designed 1st to include the gutter. City bike folks, why did you not even follow your own plan when designing 1st?
