So the bike path is gone, but once you get there....Green Streets at the State Fair
Sponsored by the Pollution Control Agency, this year's central exhibit in the Eco Experience (the building for all things "green") is around a streetscape. Check it out. There are elements of public transit, bike and walk infrastructure, mixed use development, stormwater management and more. If you visit, what else do you think they could or should have done?

Also, the Kick Gas Exhibit
Also in the Eco building, I just finished my volunteer shift at the Kick Gas exhibit, which features NiceRide, the ubiquitous traveling MetroTransit bus/bike rack, and a giant (10' x 10') map of TC bike & transit routes. It was 'senior day", and lots of older folk stopped by to discuss how cyclists make them nervous, and to look at suburbs where farms used to be on the map.
Fun!
Cyclists make people
Cyclists make people nervous? Hahaha
I heard someone make this comment last night during a conversation too. As a cyclist (and a driver once in a while) cyclists don't make me nervous at all really, even if they aren't obeying the traffic laws. I think motor vehicles make me much more nervous. They kill tens of thousands of people in the US each year and injure many more than that.
