A Ghost Bike in remembrance of Nik Morton on 5th Street near Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis.

We at Twin Cities Streets for People are mapping the locations of these tragic events in hopes of highlighting problem locations and offering design recommendations to improve the quality and safety of our streets for all road users.  The map can be viewed here >.

Ghost Bike memorials are being set up at the location of the cyclists' deaths by members of the Twin Cities bicycling community.

While our thoughts and best wishes are with the families of the victims we believe much can be done to improve the design of our roadways and we intend to start a conversation with policy makers about taking necessary steps to improve the safety of the built environment in the Twin Cities region.

So Sad

Start the conversation and make sure it is a continuous one. My thoughts go out to the families of the victims.
